Childish Intent was formed in 1989 by Jeremy Smith (vocals) along with Joe Russel (guitar) and Greg Mikozs (bass) with the intent of playing "goof-core" which seemed like a good idea at the time. Eventually it became apparent that to be an actual band, a drummer would be needed. Jim Bach attempted this feat using pieces of hand- me- down drums of various makes, but soon his lack of playing ability lead to Darrin Perusich joining in 1990. Jeremy switched to guitar, Evan Mester replaced Joe Russel and Lee Ciezkowski joined on vocals. The band played shows throughout 1991-1993, with Steve Strablo replacing Even Mester and then being asked to leave the band after one show.
