“Last Action Hero” Soundtrack

Post by Thrash McGnarly »

More bangers than a British breakfast. Was more successful in the world of music than the film was in the world of movies. So many singles on radio & MTV. Soundtracks probably peaked in this era, besides “Airheads” & “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey”, what are some other killer ones?

I’ve always been a big fan of the Lost Boys soundtrack. It’s definitely a time capsule for the Coreys Era and who doesn’t love Lou Graham?

i think the only soundtracks i ever really remember digging were: Repo Man, Judgement Night, Singles, and The Crow (but mostly just the Cure, NIN, and Helmet songs).

Repo Man soundtrack is crucial. So many bangers and they all get me to think of the scenes from the movie where they were all featured.

Judgement Night soundtrack is quintessential '90's. Definitely a harbinger of things to come. Pretty eclectic in the choices of groups to pair up. Would be interesting to know more about how that came about.

Lastly, gotta give a shout out to Encino Man. Thanks for introducing me to both Sacred Reich and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. At some point I wanna sample, "All you care about is nugs, chillin', and grindage!"
